Jogja: the eye center of Java culture


Travelers fond of unique cultural heritage, will find Jogja (variably spelled as Jogjakarta, Yogya, Yogyakarta) an exotic city with a mix of attractions. Jogja is the center of Javanese culture famous for dance, as well as painting, silverwork, and woodcarving. Javanese gamelan music is highly developed and varied. The local cuisines are also famous for its deliciousness all at a very affordable price. All in all, as a tourist destination, Jogja's enchantment is only rivaled by Bali.
